Ryan Garcia, popularly known as “The Flash,” has emerged as a highly talented American professional boxer. Born on August 8, 1998, in Victorville, California, Garcia developed a passion for boxing from an early age.

Following in the footsteps of his father, who also had a background in boxing, Garcia laced up his gloves and began training in the sport at the young age of seven. Despite facing challenges along the way, he made the bold decision to turn professional at the age of 17, thrusting himself into the boxing spotlight and swiftly rising as a star in the industry.

To date, he has won all 23 of his fights, with an impressive 19 victories achieved by knockout.

November 2016 marked a significant milestone in Garcia’s career as he inked a notable deal with Golden Boy Promotions. Making his debut under their banner on December 17 at The Forum, he fought as part of the undercard for the Smith-Hopkins light-heavyweight main event. The announcement of Garcia’s participation was made by Oscar De La Hoya, adding to the excitement surrounding the event. In a remarkable performance, Garcia secured a second-round knockout, solidifying his presence on the boxing scene.

Continuing his rise, Garcia captured the W.B.C. Silver Featherweight Title in October 2018 by defeating Jesus Rojas with a sixth-round T.K.O. He further established his reputation by triumphing over fellow rising star Jayson Velez on February 2, 2019.

Ryan Garcia’s Proud Heritage and Expert Coaching

While Garcia is proudly American, he also holds a deep appreciation for his Mexican heritage, which is reflected in his persona both inside and outside the ring. Carrying both the American and Mexican flags, Garcia pays homage to his roots. Initially trained by Eddy Reynoso, the same esteemed trainer behind boxing champions like Canelo Álvarez and Óscar Valdez, Garcia now receives guidance from Joe Goosen, a renowned figure in the boxing world.
