Will Bryan Danielson Replace CM Punk In AEW Collision? Former WWE Superstar Hints Retirement

AEW Collision has just lost its main star, CM Punk. The current AEW Champion has been fired and the program was created precisely for him to lead it, as well as not to coincide with his detractors within the company on Dynamite. At the moment, the two reports that we have known about the future of the show have been: “We have heard that there were already discussions between AEW and WBD about the direction of AEW Collision “and” They told WBD later this week that the slight separation of casts would end”. 

Now we have news about a major change in Collision. In the post-All Out 2023 press conference, Tony Khan said that working Saturday might be better for The American Dragon due to his intention to spend more time with his family and the ropes veteran agreed with that idea. Danielson knows his career is coming to an end, at least as a gladiator, but joining the cast of the new show could make it a little longer. And who wouldn’t want to enjoy his greatness for more time?

With that being said, wouldn’t Danielson be a good replacement for Punk on a stellar level? Wouldn’t he make a good new Collision leader? Saving the distances between the two, of course, yes! Bryan is someone who never causes problems, and who has a fantastic relationship with the  All Elite president, as well as with his locker room teammates. So we’ll see if his change to Saturdays is finally confirmed and what happens from then on. In the same way, we will see what happens next with CM Punk’s career.

“I love that aspect so much, but I also love being with my family and attending events takes me away from them. My poor wife, I said, ‘Hey, you know, things could happen tonight,’ and she watched the show tonight with our kids. Our 3-year-old son is a maniac. Our daughter, who is 6, was terrified, but our son Buddy adored him. He’d say, ‘Oh yeah, hit daddy more!’ But our daughter said to me, ‘Dad, you’re going to stop fighting when she turns 7, right?’ Are you going to be home every day when he turns 7?’ It’s really hard to turn that down, right?

“I have been very fortunate to have this thing that I love to do, an important part of my life for over 23 years, but at one point I felt that if it wasn’t the most important thing, it was one of the most important things. But then new things became important, like watching my kids do what they love and being there for them, and also being there for my wife. If any of you are a single parent, you know that being a single parent is hard, no matter what you do. So, all that to say, I have a lot to think about.

“I don’t want to say this is a ‘no,’ but more how to make it work, keeping the things I find important in my life at the forefront. There are puzzles to solve and sometimes the pieces don’t fit. If I’ve had a good career, maybe it’s time to move on .”
