Mustafa Ali Is Very Likely To Join AEW After Parted Ways With WWE

2 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE’s latest wave of layoffs has left a host of talent out of work, many of them from the main roster. One of them is Mustafa Ali, who at 37 years old said goodbye to the company from which he wanted to leave since 2021 when he requested his release, which was not granted.

Since the news, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of these talents. Specifically, it has been said about Mustafa Ali that he will surely end up working at All Elite Wrestling. Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer journalist, spoke about it in his last radio show, where he recalled that he has a great friendship with Bryan Danielson, a person very close to Tony Khan, president of the company, currently.

“Mustafa Ali is 37 years old, he knows his time is running out. He knows he’s good, but he never had a great opportunity,” Meltzer said. “The fact is that he works hard. Yes, he likes Danielson, and that’s a plus. I think that’s why I think Mustafa Ali will end up in AEW because Danielson has the trust of Tony Khan. He has a good chance, “But again, they have so many guys that don’t do anything now. They don’t want to add a bunch of guys, they don’t want to add a bunch of guys over 40.”

In case Tony Khan is interested in acquiring the services of Mustafa Ali, we will have to see when it can happen. All of the talents fired last Thursday have a non-compete clause that ends at the end of December. Ali’s case could be different since he asked for release and the company granted it.
