All 5 Confirmed Matches For AEW Wrestledream

1 years ago By Sports Desk

As wrestling fans from around the globe eagerly anticipate the next thrilling instalment of AEW’s WrestleDream, a cascade of exhilarating match confirmations promises to raise the stakes even higher. The event is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded and action-packed extravaganzas in recent memory.

The most tantalizing of these match-ups see Eddie Kingston, the outspoken and hard-hitting brawler, taking center stage as he gears up to put both his ROH and New Japan Strong titles on the line. Kingston, never one to back down from a challenge, took to the mic in a fiery promo, revealing that he would be squaring off against ROH Pure Champion, Katsuyori Shibata. He asserted that his intention behind this contest was to craft a match that would pay homage to the legendary Antonio Inoki, which means fans are undoubtedly in for a masterclass in wrestling prowess.

But Kingston and Shibata’s impending clash isn’t the only title bout making headlines. Christian Cage, another veteran of the squared circle, is set to defend the TNT title in a grueling two-out-of-three-falls match against Darby Allin. This showdown has been a long time coming, with their feud coming to a boiling point at Saturday’s Collision. It was during a fierce three-way title match that included Luchasaurus, that Cage showcased his cunning, posting Allin and securing a pin on Luchasaurus. Following this dramatic twist, a backstage interview with Tony Schiavone saw him informing Cage of his upcoming title defense at WrestleDream. The stakes are higher than ever as both men have so much to prove, and neither is willing to back down.

However, the excitement doesn’t stop there. Saturday’s Collision brought another major revelation from Don Callis. Wrestling enthusiasts will be treated to an ensemble clash as Will Ospreay aligns with Konosuke Takeshita and the recently inducted family member Sammy Guevara. This trio will be pitted against a formidable team led by Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Kota Ibushi. The roots of this high-octane six-man tag bout trace back to the shocking events of Friday’s Rampage. Omega emerged as the unlikely savior for Jericho, intervening just as Guevara and Takeshita ambushed him.

While the men’s division battles are garnering attention, the women’s division is not to be outdone. Julia Hart, a standout competitor who has maintained an awe-inspiring undefeated streak throughout 2023, has rightfully earned her spot for a TBS Championship match. Her challenger will be none other than Kris Statlander. In the backdrop of this confrontation is the relentless Brody King, who, after emerging victorious against Kiera Hogan and displaying a show of strength against Skye Blue on Saturday’s Collision, warned that the onslaught would persist until Hart received her rightfully deserved title opportunity.

As if the card wasn’t already brimming with excitement, a four-way tag team match is set to electrify the audience. The Lucha Bros., Hook & Orange Cassidy, The Gunns, and The Young Bucks will collide in a high-stakes bout, with the triumphant team securing a shot at the AEW Tag Team title whenever they choose to cash it in.

But WrestleDream wouldn’t be complete without its marquee matches. Fans will witness Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. lock horns in what promises to be a technical wrestling clinic. AEW’s own Hangman Page will face the dynamic Swerve Strickland in a bout that has fans divided on predictions. The AEW Tag Team Champions, FTR, have their work cut out for them as they go head-to-head against Aussie Open. And lastly, the ROH Tag Team Champions, Adam Cole & MJF, have their defenses set against The Righteous, composed of Vincent & Dutch.

With such a stacked card and narratives intertwining with each contest, AEW’s WrestleDream is on course to leave an indelible mark in wrestling history. As the days tick down, the anticipation continues to build, promising a night that wrestling aficionados will remember for ages.
