Booker T to fight former WCW Champion Ryback?

1 years ago By Sports Desk

Recently, a war of words erupted between Booker T and WWE Hall of Famer Ryback, leading to a heated exchange on social media. The dispute was ignited when Booker criticized Ryback for his outspoken nature and questioned his limited post-WWE career.

The situation escalated as Ryback challenged the WWE Hall of Famer to a real-life fight, adding fuel to the fiery feud. Addressing the challenge on his podcast, Booker T responded with both humor and seriousness, accepting the challenge but urging caution. The tension between these wrestling icons has fans on the edge of their seats, wondering if the conflict will escalate from words to action.

Booker T accepts Ryback’s challenge for a fight

The animosity between Booker T and Ryback began when the five-time WCW Champion commented on Ryback’s tendency to speak like a seasoned veteran in the wrestling industry despite his relatively short career. Booker also questioned Ryback’s persistent criticism of WWE and the lack of opportunities in other promotions after his 2016 departure.

The feud continued to intensify as both Booker T and Ryback engaged in a back-and-forth on Twitter. The heated exchange culminated in Ryback challenging Booker to a real-life fight, daring him to face off in a Bellator bout.

Addressing the situation on his podcast, “The Hall of Fame,” Booker humorously stated that Bellator would not be interested in a fight between him and Ryback. Despite the unlikely prospects of an official bout, Booker boldly accepted Ryback’s challenge, but with a caveat. He asked Ryback to declare publicly that anytime they meet in public, it’s an open invitation for a confrontation, free from legal repercussions:

“Ryback is not going to beat me up. Just wanted to get the elephant out of the room. I’m not scared, I’m not running.I accept Ryback’s challenge to a fight. This is what I need Ryback to do. Just go out on his platform and say ‘Anytime I see Booker T in public, it’s on. The green light, both of us, and nobody’s going to get sued.’ If we just happen to run into each other, and something just happened to happen, it just happened.”

While Booker T accepted the challenge, he maintained that he is not seeking a fight and emphasized that he would never call anyone out for a physical altercation. However, he made it clear that he believes in defending himself if the need arises, underlining his commitment to personal honor and integrity.

During his podcast, Booker mused about the hypothetical scenario where he bested Ryback in a fight, joking about the potential praise he would receive from WWE. Although he does not advocate for violence, Booker playfully envisioned a scenario where his employer would be impressed, suggesting he could earn a “fifteen-year contract.”
