Reasons Why Johnny Gargano Is Not Appearing On WWE TV

1 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE offers a series of heart-pounding moments, with wrestlers delivering performances in the ring, sometimes risking their health and well-being. Behind the curtains, the stories can be equally compelling. Such is the tale of Johnny Gargano, one of WWE’s most talented and beloved superstars. Recently, Gargano’s absence from WWE TV has left fans thirsty for answers. Multiple factors seem to have converged, leading to Gargano’s unexpected hiatus from the squared circle.

The most predominant reason for Gargano’s absence can be traced back to a re-aggravated shoulder injury. He was injured in January, which is the reason for him being out of the WWE. His shoulder showed a good recovery and he was seen again on the WWE. Gargano wrestled regularly, putting on a slew of matches after March 4. However, the most notable and perhaps the most taxing of these was his match against Grayson Waller at NXT Stand and Deliver, where he emerged victorious. But the win came at a cost.

The Royal Rumble marked his return, but his shoulder injury was not completely healed. Gargano’s match intensity, combined with the physical demands of his clashes, exacerbated the situation. By the time he faced Waller, he was wrestling under significant pain, to the extent that he could barely use one of his arms. Though his spirit was unyielding, his body was signaling an impending breakdown. Presently, the WWE medical team, along with Gargano, is optimistic that physical therapy could rectify the situation. The last thing anyone wants is to see Gargano go under the knife, but it’s a looming possibility if therapy doesn’t yield the desired results.

While the injury is the most glaring reason for Gargano’s absence, it might not be the only one. Delving into the intricate workings of WWE, one realizes that sometimes a superstar’s absence from TV can be attributed to the company’s creative direction or lack thereof. Upon his return to the company in August 2022, Gargano was used sporadically on Raw. WWE is a vast machine with multiple storylines running in parallel. Not every wrestler can be at the forefront of these narratives at all times. In the case of Gargano, there is speculation that WWE’s creative team might not have immediate plans for him. This is not a reflection on his talent or fan base but perhaps a strategic decision based on the roster’s current dynamics and storyline trajectories. When the time is right, and when the creative finds the perfect storyline for him, Gargano is likely to make his much-awaited return to full-time competition.

Lastly, a factor that cannot be discounted is personal reasons. Professional wrestling, much like any other profession, doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Superstars, behind their larger-than-life personas, have personal lives, commitments, joys, and sorrows. In February 2022, Gargano and his wife, Candice LeRae, celebrated a monumental personal milestone: the birth of their first child. Parenthood brings with it responsibilities, emotions, and commitments that often necessitate adjustments in one’s professional life. Gargano, like any new parent, might be cherishing this new phase of his life, balancing the demands of his career with the unparalleled joy of spending time with his newborn.

To conclude, Johnny Gargano’s absence from WWE TV has left a void, one that fans eagerly hope will be filled soon. Whether it’s the physical toll from his injuries, the intricacies of WWE’s creative direction, or the joys of new fatherhood, the reasons for his absence are multifaceted. As fans, all one can do is wish him a speedy recovery, both physically and emotionally. We can just wait for the day he graces the ring with his unparalleled skills. Until then, the WWE Universe sends its love and support to Johnny Wrestling.
