Tyson Fury Expresses Skepticism About Francis Ngannou’s Cardio As A Boxer

2 years ago By Sports Desk

It seems Tyson Fury is confident about his gas tank outlasting Francis Ngannou’s. ‘The Gypsy King’ recently weighed in on his upcoming boxing match against Ngannou and expressed doubts over the Cameroonian’s physique helping his cardio.

Fury is set to welcome the former UFC heavyweight champion into the world of boxing on October 28 in Riyadh. While the two heavyweights will fight under standard professional boxing rules, Fury’s WBC title will not be on the line. The fight will be covered by three judges who will use the 10-point must system to judge the bout. The fight is slated to be a 10-round affair.

This fight has been a long-time dream of Francis Ngannou. After his unceremonious exit from the UFC earlier this year, he expressed his earnest desire to enter the squared circle. After months of speculations and rumors linking him to Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua, ‘The Predator’ got the opponent he always wanted.

As for Tyson Fury and his legacy, this boxing contest is seen as an easy outing for the Englishman. Given his incredible record and resume as a professional boxer, many believe this will be a cakewalk for him. However, many claim that Ngannou’s punching power is unlike anything Tyson Fury has ever faced. It’s important to note that Ngannou is widely known as the hardest puncher in all of combat sports.

Nevertheless, Tyson Fury isn’t too bothered. His reason is that Francis Ngannou’s physique is too ripped to last 10 rounds.

It’s no secret that ‘The Predator’ boasts a massive frame with an extremely muscular body. According to ‘The Gypsy King,’ those same muscles will consume too much oxygen and energy to run down the clock. His claims are quite interesting to MMA fans, given how Ngannou’s power negated his need for exceptional cardio.

In a recent conversation with Barstool star Caleb Pressley, Tyson Fury stated that Ngannou’s body is too ripped. He further added that when he felt Ngannou, he knew he’d outlast the Cameroonian. Only time will tell if Tyson Fury’s prediction bears any meaningful fruit.
