WWE Fastlane 2023 Stats, Most Wins, Defeats, Crowd Capacity And More

1 years ago By Sports Desk

WWE Fastlane is a wrestling event hosted by WWE, a company based in Connecticut. It’s shown live on pay-per-view (PPV) and has been accessible through the WWE Network since 2015 and Peacock since 2021.

Now, let’s delve into the six-year history of WWE Fastlane. WWE Fastlane is a significant live event by WWE, and it got its name because it plays a crucial role on the path to WrestleMania. The first Fastlane was held in February 2015 as part of the Road to WrestleMania. In 2017, it became exclusive to the Raw brand and moved to March. In 2018, it switched to the Smackdown brand, and in 2019, it became a dual-brand event. It happened annually until 2019, but it was canceled in 2020 and then brought back in its usual slot the following year. However, it was discontinued once more after 2021 and has now returned in 2023, but with a new schedule.

About WWE Fastlane 2023:

WWE Fastlane 2023 is a pay-per-view event organized by WWE. It’s the seventh Fastlane event and the first since 2021. Fastlane is scheduled for October 7, 2023, and it will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Usually, Fastlane happens in February or March and serves as a major event leading to WrestleMania. But in 2023, it’s happening in October for the first time, and it’s also taking place on a Saturday, a first for Fastlane.

The 2023 edition of WWE Fastlane will air live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. It’s set for Saturday, October 7, following WWE’s recent practice of holding Premium Live Events on Saturdays, which started last year.

This is the first Fastlane since 2021 and the first event in Indianapolis since Clash of Champions 2016. Here are the possible start times for the WWE Fastlane 2023 event in different countries:

– USA: 8 PM ET / 5 P.M. PT (Saturday, October 7)

– India: 5:30 A.M. IST (Sunday, October 8)

– Australia: 11 A.M. AEDT (Sunday, October 8)

– United Kingdom / Ireland: 1 A.M. BST (Sunday, October 8)

– Japan: 9 A.M. (Sunday, October 8)

– Saudi Arabia: 3 A.M (Sunday, October 8)

WWE Fastlane 2023 Venue:

WWE Fastlane 2023 will be hosted at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the first event in Indianapolis since Clash of Champions in 2016, which was held in the same arena but was called Bankers Life Fieldhouse at the time. It was renamed in 2021.

The Gainbridge Fieldhouse opened in 1999 and has a seating capacity of approximately 19,000 for concerts, 17,000 for basketball, and 11,000 for ice hockey. For comparison, the attendance at Clash of Champions 2016 in the same venue was 13,467.

As reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, only two matches have been confirmed for WWE Fastlane 2023, and the event is already sold out with 11,548 tickets sold.

The Two Official Announced Matches For This Year are:

– John Cena is set to face off against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a handicap match. This will be Cena’s first pay-per-view match since WrestleMania 39 when he was defeated by then-United States Champion Austin Theory.

– The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, will be putting his title on the line in a Last Man Standing match against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Win/Loss Record at WWE Fastlane PPV:

Men’s Division:

Roman Reigns has the most wins at WWE Fastlane, with 5 victories in 5 matches. However, he won’t be part of this year’s Fastlane PPV. On the flip side, the most losses are shared by two former WWE wrestlers, Rusev and Dolph Ziggler, with Kevin Owens being the only active WWE wrestler among them, and they all have 3 losses each.

Women’s Division:

Sasha Banks holds the record for the most wins at WWE Fastlane, with 3 wins and 1 loss in her 4 matches. On the other hand, Charlotte, Nia Jax, Naomi, and Tamina Snuka share the record for the most losses, with 2 each.

So, that wraps up the entire history of WWE Fastlane. Feel free to share your opinion about it in the comments below.
