WWE Leaks Backstage Updates On Carlito

1 years ago By Sports Desk

It’s been a few months since wrestling fans last heard about Carlito’s WWE status after it was reported that he had signed with the company. Wrestling enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the return of the former Intercontinental Champion, but it seems that WWE hasn’t quite figured out what to do with him yet.

Carlito made a notable appearance earlier this year, in May, during the San Juan Street Fight between Damian Priest and Bad Bunny at Backlash. His involvement in the bout helped even the odds for LWO and Savio Vega against Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio. The WWE Universe welcomed Carlito back with a great reaction, igniting hopes for his return.

The speculation surrounding Carlito’s WWE comeback gained momentum when he reportedly pulled out of an independent show in July, citing his signing with WWE as the reason. It was rumored that he would begin full-time with WWE in early July, with plans for his return slated for a SmackDown episode at Madison Square Garden.

Dave Meltzer confirms Carlito’s signing.

Dave Meltzer, a trusted voice in the world of professional wrestling, confirmed Carlito’s signing during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. According to Meltzer, Carlito put pen to paper at the start of July. However, this confirmation raises more questions than answers, as Carlito has yet to make a televised appearance since his signing.

Carlito’s signing appears to be genuine, given that he canceled his independent bookings and was ready to start with WWE. Nevertheless, WWE has seemingly struggled to find a suitable role for the returning superstar, resulting in delays in his reemergence.

Waiting for the Right Moment

As of September 5th, Carlito remains in limbo, waiting for WWE creative to determine how to utilize his talents effectively. This situation isn’t uncommon in the world of professional wrestling, as WWE has sometimes taken a considerable amount of time to figure out the best way to reintroduce signed talent.

Wrestling fans will likely recall similar scenarios with other wrestlers, like Harry Smith, who was signed by WWE but languished without a clear direction for months. Carlito’s situation seems to be following a similar pattern.

While the WWE Universe eagerly anticipates Carlito’s return, it appears that the company is taking its time to craft a compelling storyline or role for him. Wrestling enthusiasts will have to exercise patience as they wait for the moment when Carlito finally reemerges in WWE, making an impact in the squared circle once again. Until then, his signing remains a backstage mystery, leaving fans to wonder when they’ll get to see Caribbean Cool” back in action.
