WWE NXT No Mercy 2023: All Matches, Schedule, Live Streaming, Updated Match Cards

1 years ago By Sports Desk

No Mercy is an event with a long history in WWE, used occasionally for over 20 years. On September 30, this premium live event will make its debut in NXT. Some old names from WWE and WCW that haven’t been used in a while, like No Mercy, are now part of NXT alongside WarGames and The Great American Bash.

This will be the first time WWE has used No Mercy since 2017, a show featuring Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins teaming up to retain the Raw Tag Team Championships.

NXT’s first No Mercy event will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. The main card starts at 8 pm EST, or 7 pm if you want to catch the kickoff show.

As with all WWE events, fans in the US can watch it live on Peacock. In other regions, you’ll need to tune in to the WWE Network or the local service broadcasting it. Below are the matches announced for No Mercy so far:

1. Becky Lynch vs. Tiffany Stratton – Extreme Rules Match for the NXT Women’s Championship

There has been a lot of crossover between NXT and WWE’s main roster in 2023. Becky Lynch, a main roster star, returned to NXT to pursue the Women’s Title. She quickly won it, but former champion Tiffany Stratton didn’t back down. After losing the title, Stratton attacked Lynch with a steel chair on NXT TV, leading Lynch to propose an Extreme Rules rematch. Despite Lynch’s idea, Stratton will regain the title at No Mercy, marking the biggest win of her career.

2. Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov – NXT Championship Match

Ilja Dragunov tried to capture the NXT Championship at the Great American Bash but fell short. This hard-to-stop Russian Superstar will have one more opportunity to become champion at No Mercy. Expect this match to be a show-stealer, as Dragunov rarely disappoints. He deserves more recognition as one of the world’s top wrestlers, and my prediction is that he will win the title here, allowing Hayes to move up to the main roster.

3. Bron Breakker vs. Baron Corbin

Bron Breakker always finds new ways to stir things up in NXT before a potential call-up. After defeating Von Wagner, he brutally attacked him, sending Wagner to the hospital. Baron Corbin cheered Breakker on, but Breakker wasn’t interested in his support. Instead, they got into a brawl, leading to their first-ever clash at No Mercy. I predict we might see Von Wagner intervene, giving Corbin the chance to win.

4. NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match: Noam Dar (c) vs. TBD (Butch or Joe Coffey) – British Rounds Rules Match

The winner of the Global Heritage Invitational Tournament will earn this title shot. Without knowing the winner, it’s hard to predict the outcome. Noam Dar currently holds the cup, but it’s likely to change hands. Butch is a strong contender, especially since he’s already working on WWE’s main roster. However, WWE might go with Joe Coffey to establish him as a top star in NXT, considering Butch’s brief stint on the main roster.

In addition to these matches, WWE initially announced an NXT North American Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and Mustafa Ali. However, this match had to be removed from the card due to Ali’s unexpected release from the company on September 21, 2023.

But don’t be surprised if a new match for the NXT North American Championship is added to the show.
